...and Finishing Last Is Better than NOT Finishing

Yup, I CAME IN DEAD LAST.

It took me seven hours, too.

Two days later my chiropractor manipulated something in my foot/ankle region back to the spot it was supposed to be.  Yeah, it hurt - I wanted him dead for a few seconds and then...ahhhh...instant relief.  Where were you at mile 20, Dr. Schuler?  I could have cut my time down to six hours and 54 minutes or something.

Did I mention that I finished, though?

  1. So you came in first at coming in last. I'd still be mighty proud of that accomplishment! You never cease to amaze and inspire me, my friend!

  2. Thanks, Michele! It's not like the talent you have singing and acting, but I did get a medal!! And I proved to myself that I can see things through to the bitter end, even knowing I won't have top honors - something I've never done before, honestly. I needed Rhiannon to see that, too. She already has my trait of not tackling things that don't come easily - I'm hoping this changes both of us.
